Removing items from Recently Played history

I would also like it if we had the option to remove our recently played history because sometimes I would listen to someone's playlist, an artist, or one of my own playlists by accident and I don't really listen to the playlist or artist anymore or I already have a song by that artist and it doesn't make sense to keep it in my library or recently played history.

I want to be able to remove Items from my recently played history.

I think this is a basic feature that should be available for a paying customer!

I would love for this to be added because for months my mom has used my Alexa to listen to her religious music and it’s absolutely not my taste but neither of us were aware that she used my Spotify account for it so now I get recommended songs I have zero interest in as im not religious and the songs aren't my vibe at all🥲

Just to add why this use case is important. My account got hacked and someone gained access to it (a stranger) they listened to a BUNCH of stuff I don't like for about a week. In fact, things I actively dislike. Now it's ruined my "recently played" and a bunch of my "for you" stuff. While I have since secured my account, it would be great to get some support in scenarios like this.

why don't we have this already in the first place?? it's not just a "feature", i think it should have always been available

So, I was in the car the other day with the kids, listening to a podcast. As the podcast came to an end, Spotify did what Spotify does when Autoplay is enabled (a useful feature, especially while driving) and autoplayed what it thought would be the next thing I'd like to listen to. Only, that happened to be an episode of a podcast that contains extremely adult themes.

It took me a moment to realise, and led to a moment of panic as I tried to figure out the quickest way to make it stop playing. The answer was, of course, to turn down the volume on the car stereo. But it took me a few panicked seconds to arrive at this judgment following trying desparately to locate my phone to switch the podcast off.

Upon successfully turning the car audio off, I then faced a grilling by my kids, 7 and 9, about what some of the words spoken within the podcast episode meant, and why I had turned the colour of a beef tomato.

When I got home, my first task following emptying said children out of the car and onto their XBoxes was to remove the adult podcast from Spotify in order to ensure this embarrasing episode could not be repeated. Only, as I discovered, it is not possible to remove a podcast from the Spotify home page.

I realise it is possible to turn off ot autoplay feature - I have since done so, which is a shame since it is a good feature otherwise - and I also realise it's possible to diable adult content. But why does Spotify not allow its users to control the content on thei home page? And why can I not remove items from my listening history? These would seem to be perfectly reasonable expectations.

Come on Spotify, at least provide your customers with the option to configure which lists are displayed on their home page as part of their account.  We should be able to select whether these managed lists e.g. 'Recently Played', 'Your Shows' etc. are displayed or not.

the link in this forum to clear 'recently played'  takes you to an 'access denied' page. yikes.

i want to NOT show recently played items (a list that is, btw, WAY out of date) from the top of the spotify window (on ALL my devices). help! why am i still seeing really-old (& unliked) content there? it's stuck in some past moment...
