Removing items from Recently Played history

I would also like it if we had the option to remove our recently played history because sometimes I would listen to someone's playlist, an artist, or one of my own playlists by accident and I don't really listen to the playlist or artist anymore or I already have a song by that artist and it doesn't make sense to keep it in my library or recently played history.

Yes, I'm very unsatisfied with the lack of ability to remove recent history content or to remove any recommended content on my account. How about a simple option to say I don't want to see this content like Instagram and it's gone. OR just remove the history and recommended is therefore adjusted. I think one of these two would be very major upgrade for the user experience.

I have been hacked by someone with terrible taste and asked Spotify support to delete only two days of history and they told me that they "can't" do that... They don't give us 2FA and they don't do anything when you have your history polluted by a stupid account stealer... I wish they could use our money to give us that feature.

Same answer I got from their privacy team. The history can’t be deleted due to „legitimate interest“ of them.

I’m considering simply to cancel my subscription. That’s not the kind of company I like.

Due to this (and a few other issues) I have canceled my rather expensive Duo Premium subscription with Spotify and moved on to YouTube Music. With YouTube Music I have to ability to upload my personal files. But more importantly, I have FULL control over my listening history!

I believe that the option to remove songs and playlists from recently played, disregards them in Spotify Wrapped are necessary. We don't always want a song or playlist displayed on the home screen, that's what happened to me. I want to remove a playlist and I've already tried listening to several other songs, but it didn't work. I believe that if you hold down and the playlist options appear, you could have the "Remove" option.

Please add a way to delete playlists i had played randomly that had shown up onto my home it gets annoying, its been five years since this post went up which is absurd it shouldn’t take that long to add a simple feature.
