Dear Spotify Team,

I’m a Spotify user, and I have an idea for a feature that I believe could make music discovery more exciting and social.

Feature idea: “Same Vibe”

Imagine listening to Spotify in a public place and receiving an optional notification that someone nearby is listening to the same song. For example:

“🎧 Someone nearby is listening to the same song as you.”

The notification could allow users to discover the shared song or artist, while keeping everyone’s identity and exact location private. Users could also choose whether they want to participate in this feature.

I think this could create unexpected music connections, encourage music discovery, and make Spotify feel even more connected to real-world experiences—especially at concerts, cafés, festivals, and other public places.

I would love to know whether Spotify has considered a similar concept and whether there is an appropriate channel through which I could submit this idea for consideration.
