Select and organize multiple Playlists

This is a direct copy of this idea which was originally posted 2 years ago.  I wasn't a user then, and this idea has since been made inactive, so I'm resurrecting it.  Even just a shift-select on the desktop app would help immeasurably.  Here's the original idea:

"I am looking for easy ways to organize my library.

I want to do some housekeeping in my library, but I find the current system of dragging and dropping individual playlists is too time consuming when the number of playlists reach this high.

First of all, there should be a way to select multiple playlists at once and be able to handle multiple playlists the same way as I can handle single playlist (ability to drag and drop, and rightclick w/ a special dropdown menu for multiple selected items).

Ctrl-clicking, shift-clicking and shift+arrowkeys would help greatly.

[Edit] This idea is nearing its 2 year anniversary of no official recognition. Good times! 🙂

As a sidenote my Spotify library now consists of 1296 playlists."

this votes idea whack, i have tons of playlists that i would like to delete but can only do it one by one so they’ll basically be there forever at that rate.

Is it really the year of our lord 2023 and we still can't select multiple playlists at once for organizational purposes? This hurts me in the depths of my soul. Please tell me someone's actually implemented/figured out how to do this and I can just feel shame about my lack of google fu instead of frustration that I have to drag and drop over a hundred playlists individually. I'm begging here.

Seriously it's ridiculous. There should be a whole "manage playlists" view.

it's 2024, feature still not there

Totaly agree. This makes sorting you music a pain. But for longtime users its to expansive to implement.
Bur really, its such a pain to sort them espessialy if you have used online tools for playlist creation and are stuck with File in File in File and 300 Songs. You cant even delete the top file. That would be so easy to implement. The files drop to the super layer.

pls

I think there should be more like lists so when you press the plus button all your like lists comes up and it would be like jazz or like Christian or like dance and you can choose the one you want to add it to so you can have multiple like lists .

It would be simple to do and all you have to do is add to the plus an icon that comes up with a plus is where it's highlighted and you scroll down the list to put it in the list you want that will be fabulous

How can this not be an option already???

I swear its so hard to find playlists that I want, its hard to find my own playlists, or other peoples playlists, or the ones Spotify has made which we’ve saved, because they’re all in one list, they should separate the three categories or more.

We used to have this option on past versions.

But newer versions want the Desktop/Laptop app work too much like a Mobile app.
