Select and organize multiple Playlists

This is a direct copy of this idea which was originally posted 2 years ago.  I wasn't a user then, and this idea has since been made inactive, so I'm resurrecting it.  Even just a shift-select on the desktop app would help immeasurably.  Here's the original idea:

"I am looking for easy ways to organize my library.

I want to do some housekeeping in my library, but I find the current system of dragging and dropping individual playlists is too time consuming when the number of playlists reach this high.

First of all, there should be a way to select multiple playlists at once and be able to handle multiple playlists the same way as I can handle single playlist (ability to drag and drop, and rightclick w/ a special dropdown menu for multiple selected items).

Ctrl-clicking, shift-clicking and shift+arrowkeys would help greatly.

[Edit] This idea is nearing its 2 year anniversary of no official recognition. Good times! 🙂

As a sidenote my Spotify library now consists of 1296 playlists."

It's not even an idea, it's something that should have implemented by the programmers in the first place. It's almost as if Spotify is doing this on purpose, so that you have to rack up community support, for something that would take a 20 billion dollar company's software development department ca 5 minutes to fix, something that a decent programmer and/or a company who cared would have thought of anyway when they first made the app.

Can't believe this is still the best solution 8 years later:

At this point I really would like to have an honest answer from a programmer working for Spotify, the way they seem to purposely avoid adding this essential "feature" since more than 5 years is a really weird mystery, why do they sabotage their software like that ?

Giving this kudos x100. Would love to be able to do this i.e. if you have two new playlists by Spotify you just followed and want to drop them in a genre specific folder without having to drag each one individually. saves me time organizing so I can spend more time following & streaming 🙂

Ctrl-clicking, shift-clicking and shift+arrowkeys would help greatly.

Not being able to select multiple playlists on a desktop drives me up the wall with frustration. I know software development is hard, I know there are a gazillion tickets open, but I'm going to utter the famous last words "how hard can it be"?

Hey!

Your idea was submitted a while ago and unfortunately didn't receive the amount of kudos needed to stay active in the ideas board (100 Kudos per year).

In order to keep the Ideas Exchange clearer I'll close this idea for now, but this doesn't mean Spotify rejected this idea.

If you think this is an idea which needs to be implemented, you're welcome to post it in a slightly different form 🙂

Have a nice day!

This has been suggested several times since 2012 and nothing has been done.

I would like the ability to quickly organize and sort my playlists on the desktop app. On mobile, I can choose to instantly sort them alphabetically, by date added, by relevance, recently played, or in a custom order. The ability to do the same on desktop would be invaluable. Or, at the very least, the ability to select and move multiple playlists at once with a Shift+click or Ctrl+click function. The current method of clicking and dragging one at a time is exceedingly tedious for anyone with more than four playlists. PLEASE FIX THIS. It is not a big ask and would greatly contribute to my enjoyment of the Spotify web app.

Where are we?
I can't believe this is an idea that only a few people support. It's one of the most vital features once you start having a lot of playlists and you want them to be a minimum organized to find your way around. I also can't believe that there are only a few people who meet both of these criteria. COME ON, GIVE US CTRL/SHIFT-CLICKING
