What if Spotify highlighted “shared listening moments” in real time?

For example, when a user listens to a track or a podcast, they could see:

“🎧 48,000 people are listening to this right now.”

But instead of just showing a number, Spotify could turn this into a moment:

- “Most listened this Friday at 10 PM”

- “Peak listening happening now”

- “A collective night-time favorite 🌙”

It would make users feel part of something bigger — a shared emotional experience, even when listening alone.  

Old songs could feel alive again, podcasts could feel like live events, and music would feel more collective.

This feature wouldn’t require heavy social interaction, but it would still create a strong sense of connection, which fits perfectly with how people emotionally use music.
