Show songs' release date in Now playing view

Would be great if Spotify could surface year released as metadata included about song when it's playing - on main screen for song when selected/expanded from playlist, in small player widget on android/apple. Currently if a user wants to know year released date, user has to click "View Album" from options menu to see year album was released. Understand might be hard to surface year released metadata if it comes from album metadata (linked data), but would be interested to see implemented in future (especially as so many playlists are "10s," "00s," "90s" - be very good to know exactly which year each song is from in playlist.

Absolutely key if you put together a playlist for the year and would make things much easier. The full release date would be awesome. I could just scroll down for it, similar to how Shazam does it.

I am a satisfied Spotify Family plan subscriber and appreciate its ability to handle multiple users and features seamlessly.

As a feature request, I would love to see release dates, published dates, and even modified dates displayed for all types of content on Spotify. This includes songs, albums, audiobooks, and podcasts.

This is really required. Especially since it’s impossible to find a song release date even through the menu. Song details and metadata are really important for avid listeners.

The song credits feature on Spotify is awesome. It’s so cool to see who has produced and performed on songs that you may not have realized did so previously. Albums show year of release, maybe they show the whole date when selected, but song credits do not have this feature. Sometimes I wish to date a song, to remember where I was in life when I first heard it, or if a song samples a much older song, etc. It adds a historical element to song facts and can help people find more music from a certain time period that they could have missed otherwise.
