If you didn’t know what ‘Blends’ is, I'd imagine you’d find it very difficult to even discover this smart, collaborative and insightful tool. For me....It’s like my ‘Discover Weekly’ Playlist from Spotify - but instead curated between me and my friends…
Some ideas to give Blends a boost 🔥
🔍 Give 'Blends' its own section
Add a new ‘Made for Us' ’Search Tile or a link to ‘Create Blend’ next to a friend or followers name. Making this feature easy to find for new and existing users.
🎥 Highlight Blend Data Story Videos
I love this info, it can be hard to see there’s a clickable ‘Story’ to view. Blend Data Stories show the artist and song that brings us together and our taste match score! Some extra slides could be added with more insights to share. 📲
⭐ Suggest users to ‘Blend’ with their favourite artist, actors or celebs…
Not just their friends or followers... Who wouldn't want to share that they have a 97% match with their hero?
Overall anything to give Blends some more visibility - help users discover new routes to music, and ultimately …enjoy what Blends offers.
What makes it difficult to use 'Blends' right now?
Finding 'Blends'...
Step One: I land on the homepage and see ‘Made for Ross’ . I think this is where it would be hiding - but it isn’t… I actually need the section titled ‘Made For You’
Step Two: To get there, I have to tap the Search Icon to reveal the vast collection of tiles - amongst them you’ll see a one in dark blue… with ‘Made For You’ on the cover…
Step Three: Scroll a little way down and there it is… under ‘Made For Us’
