The Idea:

I am proposing a feature where Spotify automatically switches Equalizer presets based on the genre of the song currently playing.

The Problem:

Currently, the Equalizer is "set it and forget it." However, a custom EQ that makes Rap sound powerful (boosted sub-bass) often makes Rock or Classical sound muddy or "boomy." Conversely, a crisp Rock EQ can make Hip-Hop feel thin. Manually changing this in settings every time the genre changes is tedious and disrupts the listening experience.

The Solution:

• Genre-Linked Presets: Allow users to assign specific EQ presets (e.g., "Electronic," "Bass Booster," or "Acoustic") to specific genres.

• AI Implementation: Use Spotify’s existing genre metadata to trigger these changes instantly when a new song starts.

• Toggle Option: Add a "Smart EQ" toggle in the Equalizer settings so users can turn this automation on or off.

Why it matters:

This would provide a seamless, "audiophile" experience for all users without requiring them to be audio engineers or menu-divers.
