Spotify should differentiate between music and audiobooks

As with podcasts, Spotify should generally be able to distinguish between music and audio books. So that, for example, you can listen to an audiobook and the status is saved, even if you listen to something else in between. A dedicated library or filter function would also be very useful.

I wish I could give this a hundred thumbs up. I recently fled from Google podcasts and it's just agonizing trying to go back to whatever music I was just listening to and continue where I left off after I've transitioned to a podcast or book. These are just totally different contexts that I don't want blurred together.

We, as a family, actually only subscribed to spotify because of all the audiobooks.

- They end up in my mood or summary playlists.

- I keep losing track of what I already listened to.

- I cannot stop it after a timer. Some Audiobooks are also good to fall asleep to.

- It would be great if I can just play the next one in the series.
