The ♡ Heart button AND! a (+) Plus button

In March 2023, the ♡ Heart button will start being replaced with a (+) Plus button for saving things to Your Library. Things that have been saved to Your Library will now show a green ✔ Check icon instead of a green Heart icon.

While the new (+) button is quite useful to know if a song is added to your library, many users loved to see a heart icon ♡ on their favorite songs.

Currently, to add a song to your favorites (♡) you have to click on the (+) button and add it to your favorites! It's very confusing, and it took away from seeing a lovely heart next to your favorite songs. 😞

My idea is for users to have both buttons.

The (+) button to let users know that your songs are added in their libraries.
And the ♡ button so users can directly add their songs to their favorites!

Both buttons would work very well, and would be very intuitive for users.

I'm not so fussed about what the icon looks like, but I did prefer being able to easily see if a track was in my 'Liked Songs'. Now its hard to tell.

I do like the new functionality, as its easier to find songs which are duplicated in several playlists. I'd just like to have a separate icon for 'Liked Songs' list vs Other playlists

Very frustrating that this functionality is being scrapped out!! Still hope it's a mistake and will be fixed soon.

Removing the heart removed funtionalities that the + doesn't provide.

I can handle the merging of the 'Like' / 'Add to Playlist' buttons—but it is extremely annoying to continue using the app (iOS and Mac Desktop) without being able to differentiate liked songs from not-liked songs.

The new 'plus' button only shows up if I hover over the song, and there's no indication of whether I've already liked the song OR whether I've already added the song to a playlist. This makes it very difficult to differentiate songs that I have identified as favorites versus any other random song.

The 'heart' (or similar indicator of a song having been 'liked' or added to a playlist) needs to be visible at the playlist-level, the artist-page level, and the album-page level.

Please bring back the heart symbol, just the way it was before, that showed which songs were saved to your "liked" songs! I use Spotify for my job - I'm a music curator - and I use "Liked Songs" as a way to tag the songs that are already in the playlist I'm updating, so that, when searching for new songs for the playlist, I know which ones are already in the list. Without the heart symbol showing me which songs are already in my playlist (aka "liked") it makes my work so much more complicated and slower. I know a lot of other surators use this method as well, to denote song already in a playlist, so we'll all be so happy if you'd please bring back the heart symbol for "liked" songs, just as it was before!

Please, please, please, bring back the favorite icon on ALL playlists. Just because I add a song to one of my playlists does NOT automatically mean I favorite it. Other have said as much. It is torture to see my favorites on others' playlists, but not on my own. If this is a petition to bring back the favorite icon on all playlists, then this is my signature.
