The ability to disable the Jam function.

Ok so Jam function seems incredibly odd to begin with, but I suppose in a rare instance where you want to listen to love songs with someone who's far away at the exact same time, or you're running a silent Disco, there might be a use for it for a very small number of people.

But there should be an option to disable it in your settings. Let's start with the hypothetical scenario that I don't want to run into: A crazy ex or a stalker trying to send me their sad playlist everyday. Also, and possibly more frustrating, is the automatic prompt that comes of when you and another person listening to Spotify are on the same Wi-Fi. Why am I being sent an unprompted question without an invitation from another user in my home or business if I would like to join and listen to exactly what they're listening to at the same time. If I happen to want that, would I not just play the music aloud? We obviously already started listening to what we want to listen to on our own devices by ourselves, so why would I suddenly want to listen to exactly what they want to listen to?  Automatically searching for users on the same Wi-Fi seems crazy intrusive to me what if we're on a public Wi-Fi at a mall? How many prompts would you'd be receiving to join? Anyway I don't mind if this crazy feature (that I'm willing to bet a Year's membership that under 5% of users use monthly) stays on the app,  I just want the ability to turn it off so it doesn't bother me while I'm listening to music by myself.

Please create the ability to disable this "join jam" function. I'm on a public wifi network at the library and getting suggestions to join jams with random strangers. It's an invasion of my privacy. I'm trying to listen to music on my iPhone while working on a public wifi network.

When living at a boarding school everyone shares the same wifi and the jam sessions that appear on my phone are countless. Also one time when I was using my phone to control music on my PlayStation, Spotify started a jam session without me knowing. This resulted in people connecting and controlling my music. Please remove jam sessions and make our old beloved group session option come back.

I work at a school and Spotify Jam is a nightmare. Kids are constantly messing with my relaxing music that I play in my classroom. Please create an option to turn off invitations and the ability to join a jam session or I will be switching to Apple Music permanently.

I absolutely _HATE_ the jam function, can't emphasis enough how much I HATE the jam functions. The **bleep** who thought it was a good idea should be fired. The way it is, is incredibly intrusive.

This feature somehow just grouped mine and my housemate's speakers together and it took about 10 minutes to figure out what was going on and uncouple them. Who on earth thought it was a good idea to enable this automatically and give no way to disable it - especially if it's going to create weird behaviours like grouping different speakers together? Am I going to have to toggle "start a jam" off every time I spotify. If so - f@ck you. When a feature is good, people will use it on their own accord. Forcing it on people is probably a sign it's not a good feature.

This is awful. I canceled spotify 2 years ago because this happened while at work, thousands of people in office on the same network across multiple states, and I can NEVER join the network on my phone if I'm listening to music because I will get a notification that someone I don't know is listening to something like dua lipa, I don't care. One small misclick on my phone means its blasting trash through my headphones. This is and always has been an awful non-feature and should have ALWAYS been an option and not foisted upon us. Get rid of it. The fact that I came back after 2 years and there's still no option to end these popups is completely ludicrous. GET RID OF IT.

Update: I'm canceling again. I have no idea how i was lured back. For all of you remaining, quit putting up with this.

Just another example of Spotify shoving notifications down our throats for things not all of use want or need. Then the same condescending replies saying we are looking into it when we know they aren't lifting a finger as many of these notifications have been around for years.
