Since Spotify is a mostly free app, I believe that just simply looking at words should be free. Also, the lyrics are free to Google, so why make us pay to just look at words. I firmly believe that you will receive more complaints over this than receiving more Spotify Premium users. These payments DO NOT go to the artist of the song, so why should we pay for them? The artist made these lyrics for their audience, so let us enjoy them. Use this time to seriously think about the company's actions. Thank you.

i agree also a point to add is the fact that if people cant access lyrics they will start to use google to find lyrics which will eventually lead spotify to lose listeners causing spotify to lose revenue which will cause spotify to have to lower paying rates to producers causing some of them to stop posting their songs on spotify causing there to be less listeners causing the cycle to repeat over and over again causing the possible eventual downfall of spotify.

it is really stupid that we have to pay just to see lyrics now. those with disabilities in terms of hearing, etc. should not have to pay to have their disability accommodated. furthermore, this decision does not take into account those who are not able to pay for premium spotify. this decision was greatly inconsiderate. if i were to pay at this point, i would not pay to listen to spotify because this is just infuriating. please reconsider this because you will be losing a lot of potential customers.

the lyrics feature is used constantly by people who have auditory issues. locking what is essentially an accessibility feature behind a paywall is profoundly ableist. how dissapointing. it's time to move on from this service, there are much better alternatives available
