Touch preview removal on last iOS vers. update looks like it hasn't been a great idea. You are on time to restore it, one of the best Spotify features.

Hey!

 

Thanks for coming to the Community, and adding your vote to this idea!

 

This feature was originally removed from the app due to low engagement. There was a statement at the time which you can check out at https://community.spotify.com/t5/iOS-iPhone-iPad/Touch-Preview-on-iOS-removal/td-p/1857905.

 

We're keeping this idea as 'Not Right Now', as it's not something we have any immediate plans to add back onto the app.

 

If we do have any new info to share we'll check back in here with a new status.

If you pathetic Spotify developers spent HALF the time you spent removing features, actually adding features, we would have an incredible app by now.

Howdy! If y'all rlly wanna see this feature come back, pls pls PLS share this page on social media and encourage others to vote on this idea...we need around 5-10 thousand votes. We can and will do it but only with ur help! 🙂

I really thought it was my phone acting up. Touch  Preview needs to come back, how else are any of us supposed to sample tracks to determine if a certain song is right for the moment. Here's an idea, make it a setting feature where individuals that won't use it have the option to turn off touch preview. 

 

In short, bring it back by next update. Thanks.

I really don't want to vote with my wallet but I guess I don't have many options.. 'Not Right Now', at least..

I have went on to Apple Store and gave Spotify 1 star with a message "you get the other 4 stars when you bring back touch preview" if enough of us do this it will bring down its rating in the store, they'll have to listen then.

I have added no new content to my playlist since this feature was removed, because how in the world am I supposed to decide if I like a song, if it's appropriate for my kids, etc. without an ability to preview it?

 

Artists should be wary of the removal of this feature....

I have added no new content to my playlists since this feature was removed.  How do you expect users to decide if content is desired, appropriate, etc. if you can't listent to the content first?

Dissapointed that this was removed. It worked fine and didn't interfere with users that didn't want it. So why remove a feature some of your customers love?
