ignoring artists, the opposite of following: you do not recommend me ignored artists

In an artists profile page I see there is a report option. Perhaps in that same menu you could add a "ignore" option. Ignored artists should not be recommended to me neither in the home window nor DJ X. That way I can make sure I'm not going to get recommendations I don't like and make my experience with Spotify more customizable and engaging.

I love this idea.  Not only are there some artists that I just don't want repeatedly recommended despite not enjoying their particular twist to a genre I otherwise enjoy, I also don't want artists akin to RKelly, Diddy, or Drake anywhere on my radar.

I believe there is already a feature like this. If you go onto the artist's page. Press the 3 dots next to follow and then hit 'Don't play this artist'. It should stop recommending them.

 

I've done this to a few artists and I've not had any of their music come up since.

Ya, I would like this but for podcasts .. I listen at work and there are just some podcasts I cannot have playing ... And some id just rather save for later ...

Sadly even as Premium users, we are the product.

IF spotify cared for the user experience, this would have been a feature over 10 years ago (yes, there are suggestions such as this since 2016 - that I looked, maybe theres more).

Clearly these big labels pay spotify to push certain artists, or to put their artists in their official playlists, because even if I tag "not interested" the exact same playlists KEEP SHOWING UP.
