I'll try to be more straightforward with my question this time because I'm confused. Can Spotify play NEW songs based on my listening habits or likes? How so? While it does occasionally do so, it seems to be more the exception than the rule. The playlists Spotify mixes for me contain few new songs and even some that are the polar opposite of what I like. It omits genres (jazz and reggae) that I've listened to extensively and "liked." All I get is mostly rock and roll from the 90s. It's insulting because I listen to a wide range of music. It seems we've taken 2 steps backward since Pandora's "recommended if you like." And the repetition drives me nuts.
