5. Paste URI.

6. Click Post.

Ta-da!!!!

Also, fun tip, if you add ":small" it will make it a small version of the button.

Is it possible to do it on IPad?
Or does it only work if you do it on your computer?

Hello, très jolie playlist ... sauf la première chanson 🙂

Bonne journée _ Roger

What I would like to have is my Follow button in my signature. 😞

Steps to insert the follow button in your signature :

My Settings > Personal Profile > Personal Information

Code to copy/paste in the box "Signature"

<p><iframe src="https://embed.spotify.com/follow/1/?uri=spotify:user:xxxxxx&size=basic&theme=light" width="200" height="25" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" style="border:none; overflow:hidden;" allowtransparency="true"></iframe></p>

Replace xxxxxx by your Spotify username.

It's done, enjoy 🙂

Hi

it works for users, but what about artists?

I tried replacing "user" by "artist" and after that the code - but it was removed because of a wrong format.

I refer to this guy

https://play.spotify.com/artist/0sr00YxbHKRAruzYrJ6PEg

aka yours truly

Juan María

Or... is the difference (user / artist) absolutely irrelevant since it is actually the same account?

JM

anyway, I tried it and it didn't work.

It doesn't hurt too much since I have a similar thing as text/link, but... it is nice to know how things work.

I tried this

<p><iframe src="https://embed.spotify.com/follow/1/?uri=spotify:user:donsolare&size=basic&theme=light" width="200" height="25" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" style="border:none; overflow:hidden;" allowtransparency="true"></iframe></p>

what can be wrong?

Hello:

Here you go:

I used the Spotify desktop app, and used the url link from this post to go to the track in the Spotify service, and got the Copy Embed Code for the track, and then I posted that code into the HTML posting tab option here on a community post, and hit the post button.

https://open.spotify.com/track/2hDVzRUT8AMDpbvpV4I1Gq

doing the same.. no luck weird lol ok.

@t3rrapin

Hello:

When you open the right click context menu from the Spotify desktop apps, there is a linking option that reads Copy Embed Code, and it looks like this: <iframe src="https://embed.spotify.com/?uri=spotify%3Atrack%3A2hDVzRUT8AMDpbvpV4I1Gq" width="300" height="380" frameborder="0" allowtransparency="true"></iframe>  when pasted into the HTML tab, when a user makes a new post on the board.

When that HTML code is pasted into the HTML posting tab of a new post, the Player button is generated. Helps when after pasting the HTML code to check it out with the Preview tab, before clicking on the Post button later.

<iframe src="https://embed.spotify.com/?uri=spotify%3Atrack%3A7JX5hlnW2m3HOmOfZJrK8S" width="300" height="380" frameborder="0" allowtransparency="true"></iframe>

i pasted this to html tab, it generates the play button in view but then gives this error so sorry lol :

"Correct the highlighted errors and try again.

Your post has been changed because invalid HTML was found in the message body. The invalid HTML has been removed. Please review the message and submit the message when you are satisfied"

@t3rrapin

Hum odd, what browser are your using to do that with?

I just copied and pasted the same Embed Code you provided, let's see if everything works. 🙂

Edited to add: Scratch that you might have to post a little bit more on the community to do HTML code posting.
