Spotify takes freaking forever to enable lossless. Sound quality was always good in Spotify for me. But I just tried apple music and Im seriously considering switching because sound quality in spotify is garbage compared to apple music. Spotify was a leader and an innovator once, now it behind.

There doesn't seem to be an official timeline for when Lossless will become available in Ukraine, but it's being slowly rolled out to new markets and hopefully soon it'll come to your region.

I suggest checking/subscribing to the Spotify For the Record page, and in the meantime, hang tight 🙂

Look, your optimism and all-positive vibe does not entertain us users anymore. Spotify initially teased Hi-Fi sound in 2017  which is 9 years ago - NINE freaking YEARS!!! Then first HiFi appeared in 2021. Then Spotify stated in 2025 that it's being released gradually. So how long should we hang tight before we've had enough of promises?

@nemokwf, I honestly don't know, and I know it's been a long time coming, but given that it has now officially started rolling out, I am quite optimistic that this will be rolled out worldwide, I just don't know the timeline, and it seems that Spotify haven't provided one for the time being. I'm sorry I can't give you a definitive answer.

I think not adding lossless to Ukraine is intentional decision since ukrainian subscription is MUCH cheaper, than for example, EU sub, where lossless is available.

This is like ukrainian xbox game pass, which is much cheaper than EU/US game pass, but it doesn't have some of the most expensive games that should be on there, like Call of Duty.

So the solution is to just ignore the problem then? I mean why as a user should I think about the reasons and find justifications for companies broken promises? Apple music has different prices for subscription yet all their music is lossless. Spotify is huge global company - why try squeezing every penny out of users. It's not like lossless streaming is something revolutionary - you're already a couple of years later and behind, so just **bleep**ing roll out the feature to everyone.

It looks like the company doesn’t wanna invest much money in their infrastructure to enable support in the countries which doesn’t bring much value. That is sad because they can lose the fanbase in those countries.

I won't let this thread dry out! I'm also eagerly awaiting this d@mn lossless and checking the sound quality options with every update.
