Songs that sound nostalgic

Hello people of spotify,

So I'm trying to create a playlist that sounds nostalgic when you first listen to it, like  or . Maybe each of us has a different sense of getting a nostalgic feeling (?) but I hope you suggest songs that just brush you up with nostalgia as if you listened to it 10 years ago or smth.

I like your idea. It's a bit challenging in a way though because as you said, nostalgia sounds different for different people.
But who said the playlist had to be homogenous anyway! 😉

There are 2 versions of nostalgia for me - one is songs I've listened to a long time ago, the other is laidback and calm sounds that may provoke memories or feelings of the past.
And the third grouping is more of a mashup of the two, such as this song:

I heard my friend's brother listening to this song on a loop.. through a wall. It was quite a magical moment as I had found myself in a different and unknown space. Still gives the atmosphere of something strange and familiar, future and long time ago.

The sound of when you finally reached back home from a long journey, or from a long day doing stuff, and you finally get to feel the comfort of your favourite chair, your bed, your best cup of hot beverage.
It may be nostalgic too (night spent at campfire, etc).

I listened to lots of Robbie Williams (just one CD to be honest, which I finally burned to death in a poorly ventilated player) when I was in France. Songs like  and have a strong feeling of higher Alps and strolling around singing these songs, not knowing the lyrics to them.

Lyrically, quite a lot of Chainsmokers' songs may feel nostalgic to the extent there are some videos really creatively making fun of it. :')
