Equalizer issues

We're seeing reports that some users are having issues with the Equalizer. Some notice the sound gets a bit muffled/static with a Bluetooth device connected, others experience volume drops, and some don’t hear any volume change at all.

 

This seems to be happening on a variety of devices.

You should notice improvements in the behavior, as a new app version was recently released for the desktop app. Make sure you're running version 1.2.78 and let us know if it works better for you! Steps on how to update the app can be found here.

 

If the issue persists on the updated version, or if you're having this issue on the mobile app, let us know your exact version - this will help us investigate further.

as of today, the issue has been fixed. iOS 26.1 and using iPhone 15 pro max. they just released an update 4 hours ago TODAY (11/27/2025, version 9.1.0 for Apple). i no longer have the weird issues i had for the last 3-4 weeks. @Maria since you're staff and the one who posted the notice, you should be able to confirm this.

I am also seeing issues with volume drops when listening to certain albums with normalization on. An example would be Flex Musix (FLXTRA) by Osamason. Playing the track Freestyle from the album makes the song quieter and way weaker bass than if I play it from a playlist or by searching it. This only happens if I play the song from the album with shuffle off. If i have shuffle on it works fine. This is just an example, it also happens with other albums and songs. Happens on my phone and windows PC and also to my friends.
