Equalizer won’t work with Airplay

I have iOS 13 updated on iPhone and ipad

spotify premium 

the equalizer 

Won’t work with Airplay 

does work with playback thru device or with Airpods

Thanks for reaching out to us. We understand that you're experiencing issues while trying to use Spotify via Airplay.

 

Unfortunately, the equalizer won't work with Airplay, as the Spotify app just tells the Airplay device which song to play from Spotify's catalog, with the Airplay device controlling how the audio will sound. Which is why, we can't control any equalizer settings on the Airplay device.

 

We'd recommend that you reach out to your Airplay device manufacturer customer support team to get help with adjusting the sound quality and equalizer settings.

The Equalizer do not work, when i wann to play music over AirPlay.

Without AirPlay, the Equalizer works without problems.

 

Over Google i found a lot topics with the same peoblem but no solutions. In this forum i only find old topics. 

Have anyone a solution to this problem?

Exactly the same problem. Has been going on for more then a month now for me. Really frustrating having to disconnect airplay to adjust the levels.

Sorry no one has reached out to you! But I'd like to try and troubleshoot this with you.

It's an interesting problem that I've never come across myself, or even heard about before. But let's see what we can come up with!

 

Just to start out, is your Spotify up to date? Always a good thing to check.

 

Next, what are you AirPlaying to? I'm curious if the device you're AirPlaying to has it's own EQ and thus is overriding the Spotify EQ. 

 

Just a couple of things to get the ball rolling on fixing your issue.

Hey, thank you for your reply.

 

- Spotify: newest Version

- Marantz AV with an own EQ, yes - but that have nothing to do with the spotify EQ i mean. Two devices - two EQs. With other Apps i can use the App-EQ, only not with Spotify.
