[MacOS] Desktop app crashing, Home page not loading

We've received reports from Mac users that the desktop app crashes and the Home page refuses to load - an error message "Something went wrong" is displayed instead.


This is being investigated.

Okay, thank you for popping back in to post and report your findings. In order for the team to investigate this further, they’re asking for some details from as many effected users as possible.

Could you please share:

  • Device model and OS;
  • Spotify version;
  • Any troubleshooting you've tried that may also be worth mentioning

Removed ABP/VPN but it still doesn't work.

seems like a Sonoma issue to me

My Question or Issue

After updating to macOS 14.0, Spotify can play music via search but fails to show homepage even after device restart or reinstalling Spotify.

Also having this issue.

Device: Macbook Pro 2021 (Apple M1 Pro)

System Version: macOS 14.0 (23A344)

Spotify for macOS (Apple Silicon)


Finally I see some reports! YES, this is happening only on Apple Silicon Macs with the latest version. If you downgrade to a previous version, the home screen works.


Curiously, the previous version is an Intel app, and the new one is a native Apple silicon app, so when changing architectures, they broke the home screen.


Luckily it’s not a major issue, as long as I can listen music, i can ok to give them some time to fix it 


I have the same problem here and it started when I uploaded to the new Sonoma iOS.
