Offline mode turns off when re-opening the app on iOS

We've received reports from iOS users that Offline mode is automatically turning off when the app is closed and re-opened.

Please treat this as a priority. It’s annoying enough that I have to stay off line so I can listen to my “driving playlist” without having to stop the car and find where I was up to because it’s now decided to start playing my sons bedtime playlist because the app came out off offline mode 😤

My Question or Issue

Spotify; I encountered this problem after installing version 9.0.42.587. I did not have such a problem before the update. Every time I log in to the application from my phone, the setting that I set as offline appears as online and consumes my data, which annoys me. I want the problem to be solved as soon as possible.

This started in the update after they moved that setting in the app (iOS). It worked great for many years in Playback. I got caught streaming a ton of songs yesterday because I didn't know I wasn't offline. Goofy as this service is, even when I have downloaded playlists, it INSISTS on streaming them anyway. So bad for our country!

There has been a few updates that have not fixed the problem. If you’re not paying attention it’s using your data. Not sure if Spotify cares, but what if Spotify pays for our cell bills. Maybe then they will fix the problem sooner rather than later.

My wife has a limited data plan and the offline reset issue ate into her data plan quite a bit. If this isn’t fixed soon, we’ll be forced to look into using a different streaming platform. I prefer Spotify, especially because of the once great offline mode.

Still not fixed as of update 9.0.44.500. It's been nearly a month since this issue was raised. How can it not be fixed yet? I'm incredibly tempted to return to downloading music and uploading them directly on my phone. C'mon, Spotify...
