Podcast "Recently Updated" list not updating

We've received some reports that the podcast "Recently Updated" list is not updating. 

 

This is being investigated.

We're reopening the investigation for this issue so if you're still experiencing it, please share your current device model, OS version and Spotify version and we'll forward them to our tech team.

All of the podcast episodes associated with my account appear that I have not listened to them. I have a podcast with over 800 episodes listened to and now it appears as if I have lost the progress history.

Is this happening to anyone else?

 

Note: I have not changed accounts and have not deleted anything.

Thanks for your patience while we looked into this issue.

 

Our teams have made some adjustments and, since we haven't received new reports in a while, this should be fixed now. Just make sure your app is updated to the latest version.

I am still having this issue and I have tried to fix it in all the ways you outlined and it is persisting for all podcasts

@Novy this issue has absolutely not been fixed. I’ve been monitoring this thread for over a year, tried every step ever offered here, and nothing has changed. I think it would be a disservice to all of the folks watching this thread in hopes of a solution to open a new one as if this is some new concern. You don’t get to restart the shot clock without a solution.

First off, this is not fixed.

Secondly, calling it fixed because no "new reports" is not how software works.
If you successfully reproduced the core problem and fixed it, you'd know the status.
If not, absence of new reports is irrelevant. Bugs don’t disappear by themselves.

Furthermore, though I can appreciate the effort the team is making to track down elusive bugs, the handling of this issue is unacceptable.

Re-label this thread to ongoing, and continue the investigation.

@Novy This is absolutely not fixed. Don’t try to pretend it is. We shouldn’t have to start a new thread.

Well you can change this back to NOT FIXED because it most certainly isn't.

 

I have terminated my payment of premium because of this issue and many others. I have stopped paying because of your general incompetence and dissinterest in resolving any of the issues this software now has. 

 

You have had ample time to resolve this problem along with all the others and you have done nothing. Having been with Spotify from the very start I'm now done with you.

 It's definitely not fixed. Apparently, the problem is the app's own cache, which incorrectly loads the date of each show's last episode. By manually accessing each podcast, the list corrects itself. I suggest the team evaluate from there.

Definitely not fixed. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app twice and the app is still unable to update the list. This has been going on for ages ages now. Frustrating.

Hey guys I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, but you should switch to Apple Music/podcasts and cancel Spotify. Novy clearly doesn’t have an interest in moving this forward to getting fixed.
