[iOS] Playlists appears empty

We're seeing reports that some users are unable to see songs in playlists - both on their own playlists and in Spotify-curated playlists.

 

This seems to be affecting iOS mobile devices only.

Hey everyone,

 

We're currently investigating this, and to help our tech teams look into this further, it would also be great if you could send us the following (if you haven't already):

 

  • The make & model of your device.
  • Current OS version.
  • Exact Spotify version.
  • Does the issue persist on the Web Player?
  • Have you interacted with our age verification flow anytime in the recent past?

My Question or Issue

The app only displays the start page but does not load anything content like albums. The search function works though, but when clicking on a result it isn’t loading. My phone is connected to the internet and I didn’t change any firewall settings.

I cannot use spotify on my phone app. Iphone 16 plus. I have restarted my phone, checked for app updates, deleted the app and resinstalled. It is working from web browser on my computer and the app on my spouse's phone is working with no issues (we have a duo account). I have checked my account is in good standing. What else can I try?

My Question or Issue

In iOS app many of my playlists (>50%) are missing. They're my more recently played playlists. Checked spotify web, my playlists are still there, so it wasn't fat thumb on my part deleting by accident. Anyone else having this problem?

i am too, majority of my playlists are gone on ios.

@Maria web player is fine. I don’t know about any age verification activity but nothing comes to mind 

 

are we going to be refunded for the 4 weeks without music? I can’t carry my laptop to the gym so web player working is literally useless to me.

Hey @Matthis1, thanks for asking in the Community! 🎵

 

Could you try logging out of the app and logging back in, see if that helps? Before that, open the app settings and head over to the storage/offline section and clear the app cache. You can also check out this guide for the exact steps.

I’m having this same issue. 
The playlist worked normally before and I wasn’t listening using private sessions. It’s happening in both my phone and desktop version of the app. I tried updating the app but that didn’t seem to help either.

The phone app tells me “this playlist is empty, go to home to find playlists just for you” while the desktop app tells me “listen to music to unlock your day list”

Sadly another week another update same result still can’t use Spotify app. At this rate the whole summer will be gone and they still won’t have a fix
