Paying a monthly subscription for other services typically ensures that you the subscriber no longer has to listen to ads. On spotify, users pay to listen to adds on the podcasts they enjoy listening to. Why? Is spotify more worried about losing the money coming from ads than their users having a good experience?
Hi @Wwwhhhyyyy, thanks for reaching out to the Community about this!
Spotify doesn’t play ads that interrupt the music listening experience, however, some podcasts may include advertising, host-read endorsements, or sponsorship messages. There’s more info about this here.
Hope this helps!
