My Question or Issue

I want to send music to my DAC. I want to do this via Bluetooth. My DAC may not accept 320KHZ and I may need to reduce it. I have read the  page https://support.spotify.com/au/article/audio-quality/ but am unclear on whether it is referring to the rate I download the music to Spotify or the rate Spotify provides to my DAC. Can I send a lower bitrate to my DAC?

Thanks for reaching out. The settings you see there determine the quality of the music the app will produce, depending of course also on whether you're streaming the music or playing it offline from your downloads. How the audio gets interpreted and played back afterwards is determined by the device settings. As that is outside of Spotify itself, we cannot give much concrete information, but if you run into any specific issues while trying to play Spotify on your devices, let us know and we'd be happy to look into it.
