Bands

I recently just spoke with a band member who told me Spotify only pays bands $20 for about every million plays.  He mentioned that Youtube and Apple pay better.  He is not the only band member I have heard mention that they don't make much.  I would actually be ok with a few more commercials if it truly meant bands were paid more every time their song is played.  I would also think it would be helpful if Spotify played less of their own commercials because I assume Spotify does not receive money for that.  When I listen and commercials come on 2 of the 3 commercials played are usually about Spotify.  Thank you for listening.
