Can't share with user anymore

Very strange... I used to be able to share with my brother (we are both non-facebook users) then all of a sudden, I cannot. He can share we me, but can't see what I'm listening to. I can see what he's listening to, but I can't share with him. 

Any thoughts as to what happened? I made sure I didn't block him.. and we both follow each other. 

Just one day.. the sharing feature stopped. When I right click, hit share, then search for him (how I used to do it,) he doesn't show up in the user name field.

Yeah, same here! Does it matter that we don't have Facebook accounts? And is there a difference now between following someone and "friending" them? I follow someone who doesn't follow me back (reasons unknown to me even though we're friends!) and now I can't share any music with him. What's the dealio Spotify?!
