Cannot connect Pionner AV 2024 with spotify

Hi there,

I have recently bought a Pioneer AV 2024 to play my Spotify music via my surround system. I have downloaded the app of Pioneer and there I find a Spotify logo. When I click on it it says: "The spotify function can only be used in countries where spotify is available." I am living in Netherlands, I have a Premium Account and never had any problems with spotify so far. Any idea on that?? I am using an iphone 6. I especially bought this receiver to use spotify...

Try this to use Spotify Connect with your Pioneer:

1: Make sure both your Pioneer and your iPhone are connected to the same WiFi network

2: Open the Spotify app on your iPhone (download it if you don't have it yet)

Now follow this guide. Your Pioneer should appear on the connect list:

1. As a song is playing, tap the Now Playing bar.

2. Tap the Connect icon. 

3. In the list, tap the device you want to play to. 

4. The Connect icon will show as green in the Now Playing bar.

Thanks matt, but unfortunately the Pioneer receiver does not show as a possible device on Spotify connect...

Make sure both your iPhone and the Pioneer are both on the same WiFi.

Also, try unplugging your Pioneer for a few minutes and then plug it back in. A few people with similar receivers got it working with the unplug method.

Since your Pioneer supports Spotify Connect, it should show up on the list once both devices are on the same WiFi network.
