It doesn't happen on every song and it's seemingly random. It happens on my Android mobile app. I happens on my laptop desktop app. My playback settings on the mobile app are greyed out and I can't change them but gapless playback, crossfade and automix are on. I have turned off all three on the desktop app. I have tried turning crossfade to 0 seconds. The issue still occurs. It started a few weeks ago all of a sudden.

Hey folks!
Thank you all for the shared information 🙂
We've relayed your input to out tech folks backstage and this is getting looked into.
We'll keep you posted!
P.S.
For anyone who is experiencing this and hasn't shared these details already, please let us know the following:
Many thanks!
Thanks for the link. I updated my AVR firmware from HEOS Firmware: 3.34.410 to 3.34.620 Last evening I had 0 drop-outs so it seems the problem is fixed. 3.34.410 was released 25-Sep-2024 and I had drop-outs after that. Once I'm convinced 3.34.620 fixes the problem I'll disable auto-updates on the AVR in case Denon breaks something again. I agree that the phone app has nothing to do with the problem - I don't use it. I use the web app on my laptop which also has nothing to do with the problem - drop-outs were occurring even when the laptop was shut down. Spotify keeps playing on the AVR so music play is purely a connection between Spotify and the AVR. The US Denon site Denon-US has the same info as the UK site.
Indeed, my AVR ran an update and so far, so good. As the problem was intermittent to begin with, difficult to say but no skipping so far on the same music which constantly had issues earlier.
Thanks all 🙂
This update seems to have fixed the issue for me as well. Longer songs (~30 minutes) that used to give me problems before almost every single time I played them, are no longer cut short.
Hey everyone,
Thanks for confirming this is fixed! The teams backstage made some changes, so it seems all is in order 🙂
Make sure Spotify is up-to-date on your devices, and if you're still experiencing issue, just give us a shout.
Cheers!
Up-to-date Spotify has nothing to do with the problem. I'm using an older Spotify version because newer won't install on Windows 7. Denon HEOS Firmware: 3.34.620 is what fixes the problem.
