Connecting to the car automatically plays recently played playlist, with or without Car Thing

Connecting to the car automatically plays recently played playlist, with or without Car Thing

Of course it’s not resolved. I just stopped commenting in the forum because
I knew Spotify wasn’t going to actually try to fix it. I’ll be listening to
a song and as soon as I connect to my car, Spotify will start playing the
first song in my Liked Playlist from the same time position of the song I
was originally listening to.

I already know Spotify isn’t actually working on this or any of its other
major issues. They just put a Community rep in each forum so that we can
think our problem is being heard and so someone can be there to tell us
that Spotify has fixed it but if it’s still not working it must be a user
error. Spotify is trash.

I dont want the app launching automatically when it pairs to a Bluetooth device especially my truck. How do I disable that feature?

I switched to iPhone in October and this has happened every single time I get in the car. It stops playing whatever I’m actively listening to and starts my liked songs. Everything is up to date. Listening to Spotify on iOS has been such a miserable experience.

My Question or Issue

I drive a Ford 350 transit for work, and Spotify keeps spontaneously connecting to the van's Bluetooth and playing music or podcasts or whatever, even if I had closed the app completely before starting the car up. Is this a Spotify or Ford issue, and how can I stop it? It's driving me nuts.

It is VERY ANNOYING any time the player (regardless of device) completely repeats things in the exact same order, etc...  ugh.  Should be easy to fix, _especially_ since Spotify is designed to and encourages things like JAMs and moving between devices, etc.

While I'm at it:  I commented a VERY LONG TIME AGO that the 'random' (RNG / shuffle selection) is just not random enough.  Any time we're in this midst of an exact repeat of a set, we should be able to tell the player to try again (i.e. randomize/shuffle again).  Pretty please.
