How do i get rid of search suggestions

My Question or Issue

Everytime I for something starting with any letter except e, r, z, y or m, spotify suggest me an adult Podcast. I know that search suggestions are made depending on your prefrences, but all I listen to is either old turkish music or the Weeknd. The only podcasts I ever listened to were science podcasts and the only audiobook I listened to was a dystopian. I don't listen to asmr or other weird medetating stuf. I don't get why it gets suggested that much to me. I feel very uncomfortable when searching for a song next to someone scared it might appear. Can someone please tell me how to get rid of it?

In general search results and recommendations are based on your music taste and what is most popular with other users who listen to similar content.

Can you clarify if you get those podcast recommendations after you hit the search key or only while typing in the words?

I have a similar issue—it is not to do with recently searched items which can be cleared by clicking the ‘X’ next to each song/podcast, but rather suggestions that rise to the top while entering a search. I personally have listened to one ASMR podcast one time, and now every time I simply enter the letter ‘G’, ‘ASMR by GentleWhispering’ becomes second from the top as a suggestion. I am not interested in being recommended this kind of material and would like to fix it! Clearing my cache does not fix the issue.

Glad to see that they stopped replying as soon as someone was able to describe the problem in a way they couldn't pretend to misunderstand 🙄 just let us turn the suggestions off, they suck and they're the worst feature that's been added since Spotify launched. My mind is blown over the fact that more people aren't talking about this.

Log out on the device, restart the device, then log back in. You’re welcome 👍🏼

update: unfortunately this didn’t actually work long term. Only for a day or so.

It happens to me too and it happens while I am typing before I press the search key. 

I think we should be able to delete them or they should just not be a thing anymore.

I have the same issue too on iOS as of August 2024 , I've contacted support too
