I'm trying to claim my artist account, but keep getting an error.

I recently posted a song to Spotify through CD Baby, but if I try to use the web browser OR the mobile app, I get an error that says Application error: a client-side exception has occurred (see the browser console for more information)." I have cleared my cache, changed browsers, changed wifi, changed devices, everything that was suggested, and nothing has worked to not recieve this error message.

We here in the Community are more focused on helping with account and app related issues, as well as user feedback. For any questions regarding music you have uploaded or want to upload to Spotify, it’s best to contact our Artist Support team, they can assist you further.

Hope this clears things up.

Not fixed!!!, still having the same problem as everyone in this section

Hello,

Does anyone have any information in regards to claiming an account as a collaborator? It would be my first piece of music created with another producer who has released the track through his label/distributor with me credited. The EP is now active on Spotify but when I try to claim the profile as an artist I'm getting the response:

 

"Thanks for your interest in Spotify for Artists. 

We checked the info you gave us and it looks like you’re a label representative, which means we can’t grant you access to the artist team.

If a member of your team already has admin access to Spotify for Artists, they can invite you to join. You can also ask the artist or manager to invite you.

Or you can request access again as a label team member."

Now if I do create a new label I'm still under the impression that I still wont be able to claim said profile? I'm rather new to this and it's all a bit confusing. The collaborator has his own label, but I also have my own identity and not a part of his label. I want to claim my own separate identity.

 

nah mate you haven’t fixed nothing - whar am I paying DistroKid $80 a year for them to hold back my success??

Just to check, are you getting the same error described by the OP? Or what happens when you start the process to claim your profile? Send us a screenshot of whatever message or error you get.

 

In the meantime, make sure you try from an incognito/private tab and a different device using this link.
