I want to connect my spotify to my cars spotify app

I currently have a subscription to Spotify. I would like to pair it to my new car which has a Spotify app available. Can I do this without having to use "Android Auto"? Thank you.

Android Auto is designed with safety in mind. The simple and intuitive interface helps to minimize distractions when operating a vehicle. That being said depending on your car, you may be able to turn it off from your cars settings by disabling smartphone integration.
