I'm using SPOTIFY (4.3.3.0) installed in my car Volvo XC60.
Once selecting the library I try to browse the playlists but i get the message:
"no media available for browsing here ".
Indeed I have at least 20 different playlist that i can reach by Desktop and Phone. Just the App installed in the car cannot browse the Playlists in my library

My Original post was moved here considering Volvo's android app(Automotive OS) not showing playlists. Good thing i am not alone with this, hopefully there will be a fix coming for everybody. I see this as a Spotify's problem to solve with car manufacturer.
BMW users like myself have the same issue with the built in Spotify App in BMW operating system 7 or 8.
In another thread Spotify also referred to the OEM. "Good" to see that Volvo users have the same issue.
For me that seems to be more of a Spotify backend issue and not an OEM issue.
See the other thread on here where a Volvo owner has the same issue.
So much for Spotify not being able to so more... Lol.
Same problem. I wonder if you had spotify app auto updates off does the library show up or it's empty now even if you're on older version of the app
Same problem. Very annoying!
Same here in Germany: last week Favourite Songs missing, since yesterday the entire song library! I sent an email to BMW Customer Support, no idea how long it takes.
For the BMW issue: https://community.spotify.com/t5/Car-Thing/I-can-no-longer-open-the-Spotify-library-in-the-BMW/td-p/....
Seems NOT to be an issue of each car manufacturer if they do not use the same API & app.
I have the same problem on a volvo. I guess the last spotify release is buggy in somewhere....
I used CarPlay from Apple today and that was the library, so it must be a problem of BMW
I am sure is a Spotify problem
Same here - no playlists available. Since BMW hasn't changed anything (no RSU or so) it's definetely a Spotify problem. This is a very important function for me, I'm primarily using Spotify in my BMW and not anywhere else.
in my opinion is not car related but version related.
Noticed this in the UK a few ways ago. Also tried all the above to rectify but not working. Spotify must have changed something as the library is available on all other Spotify applications on mac/iphone/windows/web clients. The problems seem to only be a problem on 3rd party applications as installed on the BMW/Volvo/etc. Hopefully they will fix the in car app soon but not holding my breath.
BMW owner here. Same issue! All of a sudden my library just recently disappeared and this is incredibly frustrating bc I rely on Spotify as my main entertainment source. I hope this issue gets resolved soon!
What do you mean by version, it doesn't work with ID7 or ID8 of the new BMW platform!
Could one of the moderators please give us an update on whether Spotify is investigating the problem or now wants to refer us all to the manufacturers. We would all appreciate some feedback here.
The Spotify Release installed in your car
Same issue here. I'm a BMW owner in the UK, and the library suddenly has "No entries available". Noticed it for the first time on Monday this week. Search function still works OK but I just can't browse albums in my library.
Given that both BMW and Volvo are affected at the same time it seems very likely that Spotify have changed something. So come on Spotify, please work with the car manufacturers to resolve this.
I have the same issue on my BMW G21 since a few days, nothing were changed on the BMW Apps and now my favourite songs are greys out.
I have also no hope that this problem will be fixed quickly, because the Apple Watch Offline issue is not fixed since 6 month.
That is one point more to switch to Apple Music, but in that case I must use CarPlay and that ist not my favourite decision.
No it is not a problem of BMW or Volvo. It is a problem of Spotify since they changed something in their backend or API which causes the problems in the Spotify clients in BMWs and Volvo's infotainment systems. Of course it works in Apple CarPlay and Android Auto since they both use the Spotify App.
