Library problem - no media available for browsing here

Solved!

Library problem - no media available for browsing here

I'm using SPOTIFY (4.3.3.0) installed in my car Volvo XC60.

Once selecting the library I try to browse the playlists but i get the message:
"no media available for browsing here ".

Indeed I have at least 20 different playlist that i can reach by Desktop and Phone. Just the App installed in the car cannot browse the Playlists in my library

in this case (as i think and I agree with you) they should react fast, solving the problem.

They just need to read the forum and read the complains in this topic.

I'm wandering why nobody from SPOTIFY is taking care of the problem and gives us just a sign showing they are studing the problem.

I doubt it's the fault of BMW since millions of Android users eyperience exactly the same issue:

@Spotify Team: stop blaming others for your faults!

I'm sorry to see it that way, but apparently Spotify has little interest in taking steps here and looking for a solution, if something doesn't change in this regard soon, then I will terminate this platform and switch to Apple Music right away, because I have to I also received the songs via my cell phone, just like I currently have to receive Spotify via Car Play to get to my folders, really sad!!😞

I'll try to establish contact with the management, which I think they have an interest in making their customers happy.

@cross1962

Hello. Car Play is different. The problem here is in the Spotify app integrated within the IDrive system. Not everybody uses car play.

Spotify if you're even reading this? I spoke with BMW and performed multiple reset and re-install of the software and no result. BMW Munich HQ had no notice of this problem in the system so a case has been logged for me. I advise all of you to call support and have it send to BMW HQ. But Spotify this is your problem!!! Clearly multi brands impacted and regions and no consistent pattern so you need to act on it and take ownership leaving customers out there with no support an now working solution is not ok. Thank you.

I wrote to the Spotify headquarters in Berlin today and took BMW Connected Drive on CC, it's sad what you have to do to get help!!

Still no solution. I have contacted Volvo but they suppose (as me and all the users here) it's a Spotify problem. Unfortunately Spotify is not taking care about the problem. Nobody is trying to communicate on this forum that the team is aware and is working in this topic. Thanks for the service.

I will probably switch to apple music.

Thanks

Same here with a brand new BMW Z4 G29 (car is just one week old!). Library is empty, but own playlists can be found with search. Please fix this immediately together with BMW, please!

In the meantime, Spotify support has contacted me by email and I have explained the problem to you in detail again, I hope for all of us that things are moving forward and that this problem will be solved soon.

notify on chat tells me BMW confirms the Connection Drive is no longer available. No solution. I will quit Spotify and go on a competitive solution. Will be hard to sell it at home to the kids 😞

I will do that too and cancel my account, which I use Spotify for the most part in the vehicle because I travel a lot, will then switch to Amazon or Apple Music!
Thanks for the info!👍

I have the same problem from a few days ago. My library is there on my mobile phone but in the BMW it says No Entries Available.

My current assumption is, that their chat support mixed something up with the depreciated service through Connected Drive back in 2020, which worked in iDrive 6.

I haven't heard any information about removing Spotify from BMW OS7 / OS8 yet.

If that was the case, I would end my Spotify subscription too.

So with all feedback from Spotify support, it is BMW's fault and you should contact BMW yourself, if BMW have any questions about this, they are welcome to contact Spotify.
After that statement I'm out and will cancel my account.
Everyone stay healthy!! 👍🏼 👋🏼

Now that I've spoken to an employee from Connected Drive, he recommended that I delete my BMW account in the vehicle and reinstall it, which you should then do, is a software reset in the vehicle, and you keep it running while stationary Press the on/off button of the volume controls for about 5 seconds until the screen goes black, it will start by itself after a short time, don't worry. I've already done that and don't forget to update the apps in the vehicle, if it still doesn't work, Connected Drive will open a ticket for this problem!
I'll give it a try, but not until tomorrow, just wanted to give you the status of BMW.

I have tested my account on my wife's brand new BMW. Same error, the Playlist library seems to be empty.
This means that the problem is not related to the car (VOLVO or BMW) but it's a SPOTIFY problem.

@cross1962 I tried that yesterday and no solution for me.

Did you delete your account in the vehicle and register again and complete all the steps?
Then BMW Connected Drive has to open a ticket to their software department to solve the problem, it's funny that you can't get this problem under control.
Thanks for the info

Now the complete library is empty 😡

@pacecar3

In this conversation, aj is about the playlist (library) no longer being able to be opened and the message coming up: No data saved!.

Why is she gone now, what did you do and how long has she been gone?
