Messenger extension for group playlists not working

My Question or Issue

Earlier this year, I tried out the Spotify extension on Facebook Messenger for making group playlists. I didn't have any friends interested in doing the playlist at that time. I tried creating one today and wasn't able to. Is that a Spotify issue or a Messenger issue? Was it a function that got recalled due to the recent controversies over privacy concerns? I'm just trying to figure out if this is a bug that I could just wait on for a fix, or if this is something that is going away and I should try something else.
