My Spotify has started randomly sending jams to people near me

I was sitting near someone I didn’t know, and I wasn’t friends with them on Spotify, and they were invited to join my “jam” that I had never started, and it displayed my name and the device I was playing through to them.

Hey there,

Welcome to the Spotify Community!

Note that Spotify will automatically start a Jam when you’re connecting to a smart speaker or most Bluetooth speakers. Users on the same WiFi will receive an invitation to your Jam. You can disable this in the  Connect picker.

I have had this issue too. And recently I have been invited to join random Jam Sessions. Once from a follower who lives in another city. We were definitely not on the same wifi network or sharing a Bluetooth device. Just now I was invited to a complete stranger's Jam Session. I am not using a Bluetooth device and my WiFi is not hacked or shared. Please fix this as it is a huge violation of my privacy.

I'm getting this too. I've had cases in the past where my brother, 2000 miles away from me, gets notifications to join a jam I never even started.
