Not showing songs on any playlist. Also songs from search results not playable

My Question or Issue

Summary:

- All playlists, mine, from spotify, or from other others are empty, show no songs.

- Songs listed from search results are not playable and behave as "playlists".

Since update on friday 10 2025, spotify for android (desktop and web are fine) is not showing songs on any playlist (though i heard problem commes before that from other users).

Songs that are shown from results cannot be played by tapping and no menu is shown when tapping and holding.

When tapping on a song from a search result, it enters a new screen that is "playlist" like, when hitting the "play button" from this song/playlist hybrid it might play the song or play a random song that has nothing do to with the original one.

It has not been resolved yet on the whole weekend, no updates are available.

What has been already tried:

- Rebooting

- Shutting down
- Installing/uninstalling

- Clearing data and cache of the app

- Logging in and out.

- Trying to log from accounts of friends on my phone

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

We'd like to add some insights here. From what we can see in the screenshot you kindly sent us, you've logged in to a free account. The behavior you described is expected in a free account while using the mobile app. Free accounts work differently on desktop apps and web players, so it's expected this behavior is not present there.

That being said, there are some things you can take into account:

• Playlists, either created by you or others, don't appear empty, you can check their content by tapping "y más". This applies for albums as well.
• It's expected that a different song plays when you search for a track and try to play it. Keep in mind music on-demand is a Premium feature. Free accounts work differently on desktop apps and web players.
• You can listen to your Liked songs Playlist on Shuffle and remember that if you have less than 15 songs in your playlists, we'll add more songs.
• You can skip and select songs from a selection of playlists chosen by Spotify based on your likes, as well as personalized playlists, including Daily Mix, Discover Weekly and Release Radar.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I understand what you mean.  But if what uyou said is true, then absolutely all the functionality of the app is lost. Clicking on "y mas" just shows previews of the songs, and of course is quite uncomfortable to do so.  Since when this has changed so drastically? I am gonna have to change music apps.  Thanks.
