My Question or Issue

This is a recent issue/annoyance I've been having. Just yesterday when I have the lyrics displayed, it would just stay on the lyrics when it plays the next song, now it always revert to the artwork view with the artist info and lyrics at the bottom showing as widgets. Seems like a recent change. Just wondering if other people are experiencing the same thing or if I just need to reinstall the software.

Hi there and thanks for posting in Spotify community.

I tried reproducing this and works as inteded for me with Windows 11.
You could do a clean install of the app and see if that help. Here´s a guide on how to do the clean install.

Hopefully this works out for you. Let me know how you´re getting along.

Have a nice day!😊

I am experiencing the same issue, also in Canada and on Windows. Reinstalling did nothing. The entire lyrics UI changed for me, so I assume this is just an update? Very annoying.

Hi and thank you replying here!

Spotify frequently experiments with new updates and features, so you might notice something different from your app experience or get early access to a feature that’s only available for a short time. This is now such an experiment.

If you´d like, you can share your feedback in this thread.

Hope this answers your questions.

Have a nice day! 😎
