My Question or Issue

Can I use an image for my playlist if I clearly state in the description that I do not own said image? I really, really enjoy customizing my playlists with cool pictures I have found but I just feel like I can't use any image that I haven't personally created myself. i.e. I'm scared of getting sued just for using a cool image I've found on the internet as the cover art on a playlist.

Hey @lejosue

That's a good question!

You can check out this article on what to look out for when making playlist cover pictures.

It's always nice to give credit to the artist/photographer who made the picture, but in many cases the artist may wish not to allow other people to use their artwork.

There are websites where you can get free stock photos (make sure to check the License Agreements). One of which is Pexels. There are also various playlist cover making websites which are also free, such as Replace Cover.

Hope this helps, have a nice day 🙂
