My Question or Issue

The "unplayed" filter item, I can't remember if it used to be "unfinished", but before I was able to filter to see everything I haven't finished.  But now the "unplayed" filter skips episodes that I've only listened to half or even a few seconds.  Scrolling through a thousand episodes to get to where you left off is not friendly at all.

Please revert whatever change you did to the filter back to the way it worked before.

Just verified, they seem to have changed the unplayed or unfinished to now "not finished" which makes much more sense than whatever it was before.

I was also able to reproduce this issue on my phone so I've gone ahead and reported it to our tech folks for investigation. We'll let you know as soon as we get an update from them.

Same here, also on Samsung Galaxy A55. App version 9.0.32.624.

I had the same problem until maybe a year ago. Then it was fixed in an update.

But now the problem is back for me too. I hope there will be a quick fix, because its really disturbing when listening to podcast with many episodes thats linked somehow, and all of a sudden you have listened to half an episode you havent got to yet.

To be honest, they really should overhaul that interface. Handling podcast with thousands of episodes isn't ready at all.

My Question or Issue

I'm on episode 729 of a podcast with well over 1500 episodes. In the past, filtering the content to only show unplayed episodes would show episodes that are in progress and partially listened to. But now those are counting as played and not showing up. If I pause a podcast mid-episode to play music, the only way to get back to an in-progress episode is to scroll down through the 700 episodes to find it since it doesn't show up in the "unplayed" list anymore.

Getting really old paying $20 some odd dollars for a subscription with seemingly no tech or dev support to fix issues.  Getting tired of having to scroll through hundreds upon hundreds of podcast episodes to find a half listened to episode...

When I sort podcasts episodes by 'not finished' it automatically stops viewing the current episode I'm listening to and it makes it difficult to find my episode if I decided to listen to something else for a moment

Thanks for joining the thread!

 

The "unplayed" filter should now be replaced with "not finished" in podcast pages, and should properly show episodes you've started but not finished. If you still see "unplayed" there, I'd recommend making sure you're running the latest version of Spotify by performing a clean reinstall of the app.

 

In Your Episodes, however, the "unplayed" filter is still present and will hide everything that isn't with 0 playtime, so keep that in mind. We're unable to provide an ETA for a fix at the moment if that's what you meant, but we’re regularly testing and launching new features and improvements to the app, so your feedback on this is greatly appreciated.
