[Podcasts] Stop Podcast Injected Ad Creep for Premium

[Podcasts] Stop Podcast Injected Ad Creep for Premium

Before this get closed and diverted to the bigger thread dealing with a DIFFERENT ISSUE, let me make one thing clear. This is not a complaint about longform podcasts that have ad-breaks, host read endorsements/sponsorship messages that are baked into the audio track. Whether the onus should be on the platform to assist in us as premium users in skipping that is a different topic and relevant to that thread.

This problem is far worse. There are now platform ads and commercials (for trash like walmart and subway and acorn) that are being injected mid-sentence into shorter (even under 4 minute) podcast episodes. Think youtube-style level of intrusiveness. While these style of ads should just plainly be illegal, it should not be permissible in any circumstances to feed these ads to premium customers. Get rid of that feature forever. Premium is essentially a protection racket from anti-customer features such as intrusive ads, so for ANY of these ads to be allowed is a stain on the Spotify brand. If we can't trust you to keep this ad-creep out here, how can we trust you to not let it spread?
