Problem casting to Chromecast

Problem casting to Chromecast

When I cast Spotify from Android to my Chromecast, my phone disconnects after just a couple minutes but the music keeps playing. When I access my phone again, it asks me if I want to keep casting. When I select yes, it stops playing music. I have Spotify set to run in the background,

Thanks for reaching out!

 

I'd recommend starting off with a clean reinstall of the Spotify app to remove any damaged cache and to ensure you're running the latest version. Another thing worth checking is if this happens with a different device and on a different internet connection to see if the issue persists. It's also a good idea to reboot your phone, router, as well as Chromecast and to make sure that all devices are up to speed with any software updates.

Let me try that.

I did the clean install as per the instructions you linked to. Casting today (both Chromecast and Chromecast Audio) worked fine. Thank you so much for taking the time for the information.
