Sharing a Track

I wanted to share a track on my playlist with someone else that isn't a Spotify subscriber.  I want to do this via Messenger in Facebook.  Do they have to subscribe first in order for me to enable this?

yes they do have to subscribe. but you could also just screenshot the track, and then send that screenshot via text message, IM, etc.
