Hi,

How is it possible that the Sony BDV-N5200W comes with a Spotify app, but my phone (Android) can't find it when I use Spotify Connect.

Yes, both are working in the same network. I'm also able to use the Spotify app, so I'm sure my sound system has working Internet and network connection.

Is there a list or something where I can see check if my device is available for Spotify Connect?

Are you sure it definitely supports Spotify Connect?

There are currently two different types of Spotify hardware devices:
- Play Hardware - which access the Spotify catalogue via their own apps.
- Connect Hardware - which is Spotify connect enabled.

Unfortunately only things advertised as supporting Spotify Connect will work with Connect.

I assumed it because it has a Spotify app, so I guessed it's Spotify compatible. I'm now thinking that it has the app because it just doesn't support Spotify Connect.

How can I make sure?

It should say in the product manual if it is Spotify Connect enabled, and there is normally a special Spotify Connect icon on the box.
