My Question or Issue

When using Spotify Connect to my Samsung Soundbar S810B the volume is extremely loud at low settings. Maximum comfortable level is 15 % and I'm afraid to damage the soundbar by accidentally turning up volume.

I can see others with the same issue in different forums but I have not found a solution.

All post-processing is off (equalizer, night mode etc)

Sounds like the gain on your soundbar's amplifier is too high - try bringing it down a bit, if possible.

 

It's also worth using Bluetooth instead and activating Normalize volume in the desktop/mobile app's settings - that should bring the overall volume down a bit. Another thing you can try is setting a lower volume for Spotify on your phone/PC (feel free to test with the Volume Mixer on your PC as well) to see if that yields better results.

Thank you for the reply. The Sound Bar has Spotify embedded and plays "on it's own". There is no external amplifier. Normalize is on already. So problem not solved unfortunately.

We did some digging and noticed that this issue has been raised with Samsung already:
 


What we'd advise in this case is to reach out to the manufacturer (Samsung) and to bring this up again, so that it is on their radar.
In case there's anything we can do from our end, let us know and we'd be happy to lend a hand 🙂
