Spotify Connect for Bang & Olufsen devices

Hello community !

I need your help.. I have a few Bang & Olufsen devices at home and I would like to ease the way I can play music.

The devices I have are BeoSound 5, BeoVision Avant, and BeoVision 11.

They all use some Spotify app that were integrated in the system already. I would want to be able to use Spotify Connect to control the playlists from my phone or computer.

Indeed, the Spotify Software on thoe B&O devices is not new and lacks of lots of options.

Do you know how I could do to solve this problem ? Is there an update available anywhere (although my devices are up to date - they say) ?

I just bought a BV11 and I'm extremely disappointed in the Spotify app (and also the Beo Remote app, which lacks a qwerty keyboard). I asked B&O about this on their Facebook-page, but only got a sarcastic answer that they "can't please everybody". If enough people demands this, maybe they get their head out of their asses.

I totally share the frustration, and for a 6k euro piece of kit such an answer is unacceptable. If they want their products to become obsolete so quickly, they'll get out of business pretty soon. For sure I'm not inclined to buy any additional B&O equipment until they get their acts together...

At this moment it's even worse ... When I add songs from the BeoVision11 to my playlists, these songs are NOT synchronized in the "real" Spotify playlist on my computers, and the other way round. This is a recent problem, it used to work in the past. According to B&O, "we do not know what is causing this issue. The technicians investigating, but we are unable to say more at this point."

Doesn't sound like I have a quick solution. Sound and vision are fine, but software (integration) is very disappointing for this supposedly top-end product.

So, this has been flagged as solved, but really there is no solution and the reality is that we just have to live with the old software? I think I will close my Spotify premium account at this point...

Man, I share your frustration. Lack of service is appalling, from both Spotify and B&O... It's crazy how they can tolerate such shameful performance, it destroys both brands. From a super-cool device to enjoy, now it turned to the joke of the day. It's entertaining to joke about how B&O is miserably failing to live up to the image, and we joke about how much superior other brands are on such basic features - and at a quarter of the price.
It's entertaining, but it kills both brands... and that's a shame.
But if Spotify cannot help, and B&O doesn't care, I've got my solution... I'll switch to Apple Music. Good job guys!

At this moment the Spotify-app for Beovision is discontinued. B&O offers their very expensive Essence solution, but yesterday I installed Google Chromecast and it works perfect! I operate Spotify from my phone, and get sound+vision on our Beovision 11.

Is it still not possible to use Spotify connect for B&O Avant? I have a Mac mini connected so I got it covered that way, but would be much easier just to use the connect function. I also have a PS4, any suggestions for the best setup?
