Spotify Repeatedly Crashing on Android

I have no clue what could be causing this, but every now and again, when I tap the bottom of the screen to pull up fullscreen, not only does Spotify crash, but my phone quickly turns off and back on, bringing me to my lock screen. Weirdly enough, the music keeps playing. It's extremely annoying. Can anyone help? Thank you.

Could you let us know your device's make, model and OS version, as well as the version of your Spotify app? Feel free to also share the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far so we avoid repeating them.

A video which showcases the issue in action would be much appreciated - just attach it to your reply.

In case you haven't already, try some basic troubleshooting, like clearing the app's cache or reinstalling to see if that does the trick. If possible, try logging in to another mobile device to see if the issue occurs there.
